About the Award
The Leaders in Safeguarding Award is a registered and widely recognised quality mark celebrating organisations that demonstrate highly effective and robust safeguarding arrangements.
It is awarded in recognition of an organisation’s provision, practice and commitment to keeping children, young people and vulnerable adults safe and is valid for two years.
Organisations work hard to earn the Leaders in Safeguarding Award, and it is vital that high standards are maintained throughout the two-year accreditation period.
What’s Included with Registration
Settings awarded the Leaders in Safeguarding quality mark benefit from a range of ongoing professional support:
- Safeguarding Helpline
- Designated Safeguarding Leads receive access to our helpline for expert advice, clarification and support.
- DSLs receive 12 months’ free membership of NADSL, including weekly safeguarding information, news and briefings to help organisations remain up to date.
- Tailored media-release statements are available to help settings share and celebrate their achievement with their wider community.
- An official register of accredited organisations is maintained and updated by Leaders in Safeguarding.
